A lot has happened since our last post. We engaged with a civil/landscape engineering firm to handle our site planning, an architectural firm to design our welcome center/bathhouse building, and another engineer to handle the wastewater and potable water systems. Site planning has largely reached completion, and the welcome center design is approaching the finish line. We have submitted the wastewater system permit applications, which represent just one part of the overall permitting process. We hope to complete the entire permitting process before the end of the year.
On the more fun side of things, we took a couple trips! First, we headed up to Edmonton, Alberta to meet the great folks at NovaDome, with whom we’ve been working to put together a deal for our glamping domes. After getting a tour and checking out the domes in-person, we signed on the dotted line and committed to our first eight domes! We’re very excited to be using NovaDomes, which we selected for their design and heartiness in North Country winters. Our glampground is open year-round, so we wanted the very best experience for our guests, no matter the season!
Next, we attended the Glamping Show Americas 2026 trade show at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Colorado! This was our first visit to the show, and it was quite the experience! Vendors from every aspect of glamping, hospitality, and business were available, and we collected more valuable information and made more new connections than we ever expected. We ran into our friends at NovaDome, and even another attendee from our neck of the woods!
We’re excited to have made so much progress and are looking forward to the next steps on our glamping journey!
